Job: Showroom Sales Associate
JOB SUMMARY:
Internship; 14-20 hours per week, with the possibility to change to a full time position
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of sales operations and client relations to help assist contractors,
designers, and architects with projects. You may also help retail customers and assist in helping design spaces with tiles. The
candidate will assist with various projects that will help generate sales and provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
HOW YOU’LL WORK:
The Salesperson welcomes the customers by greeting them; offers assistance in finding what they are looking for; directs customers
by suggesting items; and helps the customer make selection. This will be done by building customer confidence and providing
product knowledge; closing the sale; documenting the sale and processing payment. Clarifies the delivery process and any
cancelation or restocking fees.
Salespersons must be able to handle all duties with competence and efficiency while remaining courteous, professional, and
accommodating at all times.

OUR EXPECTATION OF YOU:
- Staying up-to-date regarding product knowledge and design trends
- Experience working with interior designers and projects of all sizes
- Promoting products and partaking in sales-promotion campaigns
- Strong awareness of our product (use, utility, and maintenance)
- Able to answer any/all questions regarding aspects of client purchases such as installation tips, order status updates, discontinued
product (or acknowledge the need to find an answer when applicable) etc. - Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to positively interact with many different types of clients
- Assist in building and maintaining current and new relationships with trade contacts and customers
- Does not have an issue lifting 20 lbs at a time
- Clear understanding of MTECNICA’S policies on cancellations, damage, refunds, escalation processes
- Meeting and exceeding monthly sales goals
- Expand the customer’s connection to the brand by increasing sign up on all social media platforms and our designer program

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the front area is always clean, organized, uncluttered and well stocked
- Walk around of the showroom, make sure everything is presentable, safe and nothing is out of place
- Must ensure that the displays are complete with proper price tags, labels and are positioned in the correct place (report any damaged or missing samples, wrong price tags to the Manager)
- Label samples according to company outline, organizing and maintaining sample library & constructing architectural boards
for specific projects or firms - Mailing out any sample requests (properly packaging and documenting)
- Inform the Manager regarding the need to order office supplies or of any POS issues and/or problems
- Properly document the sale and delivery process for every sale (including coordinating with any applicable departments)
- Properly file and organize all sales receipts, keep track of sales that have been picked-up and/or sales that are pending pickup and/or delivery
- Manage and document all customer interactions via in person, chat, email and phone (answer, follow-up, escalate when
needed, and always resolve/help) in a timely manner
